Marriage to a Billionaire Series by Jennifer Probst

Marriage to a Billionaire is a series by author Jennifer Probst. Her books are more of a light read and quite interesting. Its purely romance themed and has nothing to do with the Paranormal Romance that I love reading. This is more of a light read and whenever you feel like you need a change, this is a book you might want to pick up. One of the reason I like her books is because she takes almost classic subjects and plots and makes it into a modern storyline. The series includes 4 books, all revolves around an Italian family, the "Conte's".

This is my review of the first book in the series :- The Marriage Bargain

The book looks like this:-

The synopsis:-

A marriage in name only...

To save her family home, impulsive bookstore owner, Alexa Maria McKenzie, casts a love spell. But she never planned on conjuring up her best friend's older brother—the powerful man who once shattered her heart.

Billionaire Nicholas Ryan doesn’t believe in marriage, but in order to inherit his father’s corporation, he needs a wife and needs one fast. When he discovers his sister’s childhood friend is in dire financial straits, he offers Alexa a bold proposition.

A marriage in name only with certain rules: avoid entanglement. Keep things all business. Do not fall in love. The arrangement is only for a year so the rules shouldn’t be that hard to follow, right?

Except fate has a way of upsetting the best-laid plans…

What I think of the book:-

Nick and Alexa enter into a marriage of convenience to please their families, in the process they fall in love. Yes, there is an element of predictability in the story but the way JP (author) delivered the story made it sweet and likeable. You can almost forgive the predictability because of the elements of humor that the author added in the book.

The book/story is quite short, for an avid reader, the book might just take one day at most to finish.

All in all, this is a feel good book and a healthy dose of romance! Highly recommended for people who are looking for a light and relaxed read.

Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost

Okay, I haven't had a book in my hand quite a while now, and I have a list of books that I have to read this year. If you guys notice, I have this reading challenge that I challenged myself to doing this year and god I hope I can do it. Right, the first book that I picked up this year is titled Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost. This is the second book in her series called the Night Prince. This is actually a spin off from the her main series called the Night Huntress Series (note my blog banner!).

The book looks like this :-

The synopsis of the book:-

Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges...

Leila's psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn't sure what the future holds. If that weren't enough, her lover, Vlad, has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she's also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won't admit that he loves her.

Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity...

Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity.

What I think of the book:-

The way JF (author) wrote the book was fantastic and her quality of writing never seizes to amaze me! The book was fast paced and wasn't dragging at all. I was glued to the book! The book's plot development was superb and highly detailed and that kept me engaged in the story.

The characters were dynamic and absolutely captivating. Vlad is the ultimate definition of a lover and a fighter and Leila was no slacker in the kick ass heroine department. All of the characters were well thought out in how they acted as individuals and together.

Clearly there is something wrong if you've reached this point in this brief review and haven't realized that I loved this story *smile*.

My emotions were all over the place while reading this book.

Even though this is the second book on the series, you still could read it as a stand alone. However, Once Burned (book 1)should not be missed!

New Working Experience!

Hey ya'll,

I hope everyone's doing good. First, let me start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year (I know it's a little late but hey better late than never!). I hope this new year bring us all good luck, health and wealth!

Well, since the new year, I have been going through some new beginnings. I started work in a new place as a Lawyer and its been two weeks since I started. I have been busy so far, trying to get used to the place and the people. All I can say for now is that it's a new beginning and I am getting used to the change.

These past few weeks has been about adjusting to the change. I am not a person who takes change very well, however, as a new years resolution, I am going to have a more of an open mind and allow myself to grow together with the change.

The new place has been kind to me so far, the people as well as the place. People around here are quite nice and the icing of the cake is that my best friend is just a few miles away from me. What more could I ask for. Though she is close by, I rarely get the chance to see her. But as she would always say, we do have to make an effort despite the busy and hectic schedule.

Damansara Perdana is where I am currently. The place is quite cool however, it is my humble opinion that the food is a little pricy, it is a little bit posh, one would think. There are a number of good places around to eat such as Ikea, Ikano and Empire. I'm pretty sure people would know. Its quite a busy place especially during lunch.

These are actually all that are nice, now to the horrible part of the place = the traffic!

The traffic is quite horrible! When I started off, the schools were still on break, hence the traffic wasn't that bad, but once the school began, god it was horrible! It takes me atleast two hours to reach home! Without the traffic, it only takes me a good 20 minutes...

Yep, it's that bad!

Despite all that, I'm loving the environment of the workplace. Not as strict and uptight as the firm I used to work for, a little laid back than most .

As a new lawyer, I am actually quite excited. I hope this new beginning would be a good beginning and a stepping stone for my career!

I hope you guys have a good year and lets all pray for a good and a healthy year ahead!
